the problems with reading

I have trouble sometimes with staying focused on books. I have read the first couple chapters of hundreds of them, but have only finished about half of them. Some books i even really liked while i was reading them, like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Jpod, but either i wasn't in the right mood when i started reading them or they didn't grasp my attention like some books do. Every once in a while i feel like a book just "gets" me and i can't put it down. The latest book to do this is Geek Mafia by Rick Daken. I first heard about the book many months ago while listening to Mr. Daken on the radio show Off the Hook. I was intrigued by the description he gave of the book so i went to Amazon and ordered a cheap but brand new copy from the marketplace. After it came in the mail, it was put on my shelf and succumbed to the same fate as a lot of books that i buy do. I finally started reading it three days ago and could not put it down. Every free moment i had was spent reading this gripping novel. After finishing it, i went to Rick Daken's website and was pleasantly surprised to read that a sequel to Geek Mafia is coming out in October. I don't think i've been this excited about a book's release in a long time.
